Immersive Retail CX & Showroom Flow Validation

Client: Hans Egypt Partner: X Architecture Studio Year: 2021 Category: Immersive Simulation • Interactive Experience • Architectural Visualization • Retail CX

Project Overview:

A high-end showroom is more than a display of products; it is a meticulously choreographed customer journey. For the launch of Hans Egypt’s new flagship kitchen showroom, the objective was to design a space where visitors could navigate intuitively between premium layouts and materials. Metas, in collaboration with X Architecture Studio, developed an immersive interactive simulation that allowed stakeholders to virtually “walk” the showroom. This enabled the team to evaluate the perception of the products and the efficiency of the visitor flow long before the physical construction began.

Project Goals:
  • Experience-First Visualization: View the showroom as a holistic customer journey rather than a series of isolated floor plans.
  • Flow & Transition Testing: Validate the natural movement of visitors between different kitchen modules and product discovery zones.
  • Refine Product Storytelling: Enhance how materials and spatial layouts communicate the brand’s premium quality and attention to detail.
  • Accelerated Executive Approval: Utilize immersive walkthroughs to align marketing, sales, and design teams on a singular vision.
The Experience:
  1. Customer-Centric Walkthrough: Stakeholders could simulate the exact path a customer takes—from the initial entrance to the comparison of different kitchen island configurations—ensuring the layout supports a logical sales narrative.
  2. Spatial Perception & Sightlines: The simulation highlights how products are perceived under realistic conditions, focusing on scale, spacing, and sightlines to ensure that every featured kitchen has a “hero” moment.
  3. Decision-Driven Interaction: Built for rapid evaluation, the experience allowed decision-makers to identify “hot zones” where customers are likely to pause, ensuring that high-margin products are placed in high-visibility areas.
Scope & Deliverables:
  • Immersive Showroom Digital Twin: A high-fidelity, navigable simulation of the proposed Hans Egypt kitchen showroom.
  • Interactive Discovery Flow: A walkthrough experience designed specifically to test customer movement and product engagement.
  • Stakeholder Presentation Tool: A presentation-ready platform that facilitated pre-build alignment and design refinement cycles.
  • Architectural Visualization: Realistic rendering of materials, lighting, and finishes to assess brand impact.
Why Immersive Simulation Matters for Retail:
  • Pre-Build Certainty: Test the efficacy of product placement and spatial flow, eliminating the need for expensive post-construction alterations.
  • Enhanced Brand Perception: Controlled digital storytelling ensures the brand’s premium identity is consistently communicated across all touchpoints.
  • Optimized Conversion Paths: By simulating the browsing journey, brands can design layouts that naturally guide customers toward a purchase decision.
  • Resource Efficiency: Significant reduction in rework and time-to-market by aligning all architectural and commercial teams early in the process.
Summary:

The Hans Kitchen Showroom Simulation highlights Metas’ expertise in transforming retail concepts into measurable customer experiences. By bridging the gap between architectural design and retail psychology, we provided Hans Egypt with a powerful tool to validate their investment, optimize their showroom’s performance, and deliver a world-class shopping environment.
